Starting off strong with reverent nostalgic charm and reference however once our central characters find themselves in Sugar Rush things stall - in a big way. Despite some moments of charm, whatever originality existed quickly dissolves into some ham-fisted sweetness.
It's still a fine effort, just allows itself to stumble where it could have really launched itself into "classic" territory.
