Review of Wreck-It Ralph (2012) by Vijay G — 22 Dec 2014
Arguably one of the most cleverly thought-out stories I've ever witnessed from an animated film, Wreck-it Ralph explores the life of a 'villain' struggling to prove his worth in a society of 'heroes'.
This colourful and lively film will appeal to all children and the adults who once grew up playing traditional arcade video games. The subtle references shown here and there - ranging from references to the Wizard of Oz to Star Wars and to the Mario video game franchise, will keep audiences engaged and enthusiastic.
The 3D computer animation is vibrant and detailed, the script is well-written and funny - this film will definitely make you think twice about those little video game creatures that live behind our arcade screens.
