Review of Wrath of the Titans (2012) by Bobo K — 02 Nov 2012
I watched this movie twice because I felt I had to be looking at it harshly after initially viewing it. I came away from the second look with a clearer, even harsher opinion of it. To call this a bad sequel would be too close to giving it a rave review.
I literally don't know where to begin. The casting was atrocious; Sam Worthington couldn't carry this role's jock strap if he had an army of Naavi with him. The CGI that routinely bails out Michael Bay's otherwise lazily-made flicks couldn't have gotten 'Titans' a complimentary phone call.
Ralph Fiennes' pathetic rendition of Hades would've sounded much better if he had just channeled his "You owe me aaalllll" speech from "Red Dragon". It felt as if every character was trying to deliver the film's most memorable line, and in the end all each did was place his/her stamp firmly onto one of the most insulting do-overs I've ever sat through.
.. twice.
