Review of Wrath of the Titans (2012) by Tyler R — 18 Sep 2012
This is the sequel to "Clash of the Titans" from 2010, which was another film I enjoyed. I cannot compare this film to any other mythological films, because it isn't like those. This movie takes style over substance any day of the week.
Thats not to say that it doesn't have a compelling story, it does, and it is handled with mroe care than the story to from the first. The plot is as follows: 10 years after the great battle with the Kraken, Perseus is a fusherman living with his son until his father, Zeus, calls upon him to help save humanity from Cronos.
The story is more clear cut and defined than the first, which is a major plus. The acting is pretty solid all the way through. I'm not a fan of Sam Worthington, but he does a good job in this. Obviously the best acting comes from legendary thespians Liam Neeson and Ralphe Fiennes.
The action is also handled better than the first. Overall, this is an improvement over the first film, with a couple minor flaws, but it is still a fun film.
