Review of Wrath of the Titans (2012) by Carlos M — 12 Nov 2016
It's when films like this are produced that you realise that some classic originals just cannot be surpassed. It's not that it's particularly bad, it's just nothing compared to Clash of The Titans.
The characters aren't as iconic, the battles aren't as fierce, and the monsters are not as memorable. We need Scorpions, Cerberus, Medusa, and the Kraken again. This is just too far fetched with CGI and has lost its Romany feel to it.
I could appreciate it was a sequel to the other film after Hades has been banished to the underworld but the remainder of the story was more confusing and was a war between brothers as opposed to Gods against monsters.
For a film containing such high profile names, you'd expect a lot more, and there are no real elements that will provide a lasting memory. Had it gone on much longer I would have really began to fidget and have itchy bum syndrome, as there wasn't enough fantasy or imagination to captivate me.
It was less like Wrath of The Titans and more like Angry Birds in my eyes. It might appear decent as an individual movie, but as a continuation of other films, it is by far the worst of the releases.
