I do not believe at all that the degradation of action movies comes from their video game origin and in particular from that of shooters. Instead, I suppose they are both satisfying the need for a surplus of adrenaline-pumping violence caused by an increase in the daily stress rate. Directors, actors and actresses adapt to market needs and even Ritchie and Sthatam are no longer an exception.
