Review of Woyzeck (1979) by Jack G — 13 Aug 2007
A brilliant drama, shot so that all the emotion from the actor, however restrained or drained or mad, is culled out all the way. The murder scene is one of the most profoundly moving in any movie I've ever seen (a combo of, surprisingly, slow-motion, high-power strings, and Kinski's face, a fresco of life's horrors).
