Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Ernest C — 03 Aug 2010
A dirty utterly bizarre so darkly hilarious film that omigod, I was squirming and laughing and quite appalled at myself for enjoying it as much as I did. Because the truth of it was skewering, every single bit of it. And man, Robin Williams' performance would not have worked if it wasn't so perfectly subtle. When I saw at the end who directed it, then the whole tone of the movie made complete sense. Talk about a shout of OMG moment.
No spoilers because you have to see it totally pure. Just be braced to be made very uncomfortable before the truth of the film reveals itself. So totally worth it.
