Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Henrik S — 10 Oct 2010
No matter what you may think of this film, it is unarguably unusual. The film manages to balance between comedy and drama. Although the comedy is never blatantly hilarious but among the lines of awkward social insecurity comedy you would expect from a Jonah Hill movie.
To me, that makes it more enjoyable as I am not an avid fan of vulgar comedies. The drama on the other hand is quite intense and gruesome at points. The direction is a bit uninspired and amateurish and resembles a music video more than anything else at points.
All in all, an enjoyable and unusual film.
