Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Dan F — 28 Feb 2013
There were times where I thought this was definitely a crappy movie that tried too hard to shock but I stuck it out and made it through this. While Shakes the Clown is it's own special brand of neatness, Bobcat is just a bad writer and director.
Robin Williams tones it down just like he does in anything where he has to turn off his special brand of hyper comedy. It was just a little too basic and I'm sorry but Under Pressure did nothing for me as it just came off as cliched.
It is suppoed to be profound or something when Robin Williams strips and swims in the school pool but it was just lame to me. A few laughs saves me from thinking that it sucks. Shock humor only goes so far regardless of whether it is satire or not.
