Review of World's Greatest Dad (2009) by Jacob B — 12 Aug 2014
I did not know this was a comedy, and to me it felt like a very dark and depressing movie. I did not laugh, I was not impressed, and many moments I was hoping the movie would do the smart thing, but instead did the obvious.
With a few plot tweaks it could have been a good slow drama about suicide. it was good to see Robin Willams in a unique role, but to me, the movie itself just felt gross and claustrophobic. I was hoping in the end he would have stuck to the lie about his son.
I felt the jerk his son was at least owed it to his father to find happiness.
