Yes, almost nothing in common with the book. and yes it follows the existing hollywood structure. and yes brad pitt is a little too pretty. but all-in-all a really interesting riff off the existing zombie genre, with some powerful, quiet, empathetic moments.
also, a few truly iconic scenes, such as philly and jerusalem.
