Review of World War Z (2013) by Mauricio A — 17 May 2014
If you watch it without reading the book then you will think it okay. If you read the book then probably walking in with high hopes although you knew the challenge of filming a book which main narrative does not lend itself easily on film.
But man, if they could have at least tried and pulled some of it off... WOW. Instead we get a high production value end product that is a watered down concept on what could have been. I read how this movie had a lot of production problems and the mere fact that it did not stink like a rotting corpse is considered a notable point of success.
We can only hope on what could have been. Still, quite the service movie albeit with a few too many convenient coincidences on the side of our hero but not bad if you are a fan of zombies and have not read the book.
