Review of World War Z (2013) by Andrew Y — 19 May 2014
I really liked this. I was a bit worried as I read stories about parts of movie be re-filmed including the whole last part, various different writers involved and bits being re-written, apparently Brad Pitt and the director didn't get on and it was originally supposed to be released in of last year.
Its a great exciting start and is pretty much non-stop. Tense, exciting. It is pretty much a Brad Pitt movie as the other actors are not in it too much.
Spoilers:
After the first bit, his wife (and family) are just on the ship. Her character is then only seen just talking on a phone.
One slightly daft bit I thought was that in Israel when the zombies all pile on top of one another to get over the wall, a few moments before you see a helicopter checking the perimeter etc. Did they not notice all the zombies on top of one another to get over the wall??? (and then warn people??).
Interesting location choices. South Korea, Israel........... and then Cardiff!!
