Review of World War Z (2013) by Cade H — 10 Sep 2014

World War Z took a slightly different approach to the whole Zombie movie craze. It was very realistic and gritty and if there was an outbreak of this type, it would be very similar to this film. The story was very in depth but they still managed to fit in plenty of fun to watch zombie attack scenes and some cool battles.

My biggest complaint came from an unexpected source, Brad Pitt. In a world wide zombie outbreak you would show a little bit more emotion when leaving your family or while caught in the middle of the action.

He never seemed like he really wanted to be in the movie and always seemed to have the same expression and demeanor. I usually like Pitt but in this film, I expected more from him. You can tell a lot of time and money was put into this one and it reminded me a lot of 28 Days Later, it had that same kind of mood to it.

It was enjoyable and I wouldn't mind a sequel but it is not the huge, amazing blockbuster I was thinking it was.
