Review of World Trade Center (2006) by Geoff C — 15 Jul 2009
I think this film was unfairly panned by many people because since this was an Oliver Stone film, they were expecting some falsified, entertaining yarn that delves into conspiracy theories and Gov't plots. I do enjoy those Oliver Stone films, but I don't believe they are accurate.
This film explored the truth about elements of 9/11, and it was probably Stone's first good movie in 15 years since 'JFK' and 'The Doors' came out.
The special effects in the film were breathtaking, and It felt like I was actually experiencing 9/11 again. The same emotions I felt on the actual day were brought back through watching the film. The stories were touching, and the acting was good. Though it was only about two of the families, it does a good job paying homage to the other victims/survivors of that terrible day.
