Review of World Trade Center (2006) by Luke S — 19 Jun 2012
To me World Trade Center is just like any disaster film. The fact it's based on such recent, actual events oddly doesn't move me at all when watching it. I'm not sure why this is. Possibly it's the fact that Nick Cage is playing the lead?
Anyway, to really get some kinda "moving experience" outa this one, you're best option is to watch it with the commentary of the guys who actually survived it ("it" being 9/11, and not working with Nick Cage) It's one audio cometary I'd recommend to anyone, and one example of when a movie is actually improved by a commentary.
