Mike Nichols' Working Girl is set in New York, where the young working-class stockbroker Tess (Melanie Griffith) is transferred once again because of her stubbornness. This time she's appointed secretary for the ice cold beauty Katherine Parker (Sigourney Weaver) who encourage Tess to follow her ideas, one of them whom Tess share with Parker.
