Review of Working Girl (1988) by Alvin Y — 15 Nov 2010
I think this movie didn't satisfy me most, but that does not mean I hate it or it is weak, no everything that is going on here about business just didn't impress me. Anyhow, the film is still good in many ways, you got the main character, the friends, the husband, you also got the not so great character, and the not so great character's beau.
To that, the movie is very entertaining, yes, it has story, and of course we get to see who and what these characters have to do with the main character and also to this person. I don't want to talk about everything and the setup to âWorking Girlâ?, all I just want to say is that at the beginning, the film does not get your interest, but when it gets towards the end, you're gonna see all the efforts and craftsmanship that all the cast and crew of this film had to give to the audiences, yes and I just figure it out that this is just the whole plot and setup of the movie.
I also said at the start of this review that it didn't satisfy me because the business stuff, I just don't care about it, also the relationship between the main character and the not so great character's beau just not also quite good.
So, because I probably knew the setup and plot of this film when it ended, I think I might probably rewatch this movie again, even though I wouldn't get impress again because I just love to see all the actors and actresses going on to these hard and yet very serious roles.
This movie is not bad, not great either, also not my favorite movie, BUT overall I found the spirit and theme of the film, so I still like it anyway.
