Review of Woodstock (1970) by Liam R — 14 Feb 2010
This documentary of Woodstock was so epic it brought tears to my eyes and made my heart practically swell up with joy and hope for humanity. My generation will never have anything like this. The way everything came together was so perfect, from those volunteering to provide security and directions, the townspeople feeding the concertgoers, and the chants during the brilliant conflict of the thunderstorm right before Country Joe's set.
The documentary couldn't have been more expertly made. Instead of using narration, Wadleigh lets the music and the images do the talking.
