I only watched it for The Who. According to Pete Townshend it is their worst performance ever, but that's NOT true... Facts: 1) Someone had put LSD in their drinks, 2) Townshend ruined his right hand, which was clearly bleeding during their performance, 3) He did do some pretty crazy stuff to/with his guitar.
The sound wasn't perfect, like Live at Leeds or Live at Hull or the Isle of Wight or Live at Kilburn, but who gives a damn?! I don't! In my mind, it was by far the best performance of the whole festival.
It would have been perfect if the Abbie Hoffman incided had been included, but it wasn't even filmed (there is though a recording which can be found in The Who's "Maximum Rn'B" collection).
Townshend literally kicked Abbie off the stage ("Fuck off! Fuck off my fucking stage!") and then said on his microphone "I can dig it..." and "The next fucking person that walks across this stage is gonna get fucking killed, alright?!.
.. You can laugh, I mean it!". It would have been a masterpiece...
