Review of Woodlawn (2015) by Ludwig E — 17 Oct 2015
I am not a football fan nor do I watch football but this movie kept me glued. I remember the actual times of the early seventies. Yes it's a Christian movie, and there are some real bad ones but there are also some great ones, like this movie.
This told a story of commitment, faith and comradery. It defied all segregation placed by our white brothers, this was Alabama, this was Wallace country. I think this was the first Christian movie I watched and instead of the Newsboys I heard Gun's and Roses, Nothing against the Newsboys.
The story line is what it is, it's based on true events, the acting is great, the football scenes are fabulous, go Erwin Brothers.
