Review of Woodlawn (2015) by Dave R — 06 Nov 2015
As I've said before, faith based movies are hard for me to review as many times the message in the movie is way better then the actual movie itself. This time with Woodlawn, the two actually meet right in the middle for a really good movie.
From what I've been able to gather, the true story about this football team in Alabama during the desegregation of public schools holds fast to the actual events. This movie has a higher quality and standard to it for sure, and it shows.
Things like the score and action shots are much better then anything you find in many of the Christian based films. I like this one a lot as a sports based film, a good drama, and most of all a great message!
