Review of Woodlawn (2015) by Gary G — 18 Nov 2015
Completely involving true story about the role of religion in the successful coming together of a high school in Alabama during the start of forced busing. So many good performance and wonderful scenes to mention.
Found myself tearing up again and again during this movie as the character choose to show moral courage in the fact of social pressure. The movie demonstrates clearly the morality is the opposite of moral superiority and faith more powerful than the rhetoric of hate and envy that era's social justice warriors.
Nice to see that reviewers who reflexively pan religious films praise this one because of its focus on racism of the early seventies.
