An outstanding movie on many levels. Acting, athletics, camera work, personality development, historical tie-ins, feelgoodness... I can keep going. Movie is just the right length. Overcoming racial turmoil in the angriest city in the south in the early 70s.
Thank God I was never exposed to this but I could feel the bitterness at the beginning and watched as it melted away and forged great friendships among bitter enemies in less than a football season. A must see movie for so many reasons.
