Review of Won't You Be My Neighbor? (2018) by Robert B — 21 Jun 2018
Fred Rogers was a soothing soul in a turbulent world; fighting as hard and as best as he could through "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" to make sure that children had the emotional vocabulary to better understand and navigate the complexities of both their internal and external worlds.
The film is an exploration this, but also of how Rogers used both love and compassion as tools in his life's work of building up the self-worth of everyone he encountered, in person or on screen.
