Review of Won't Back Down (2014) by Bryan C — 28 Sep 2012

I have no stake invite political issues. I just went to the movie to be entertained. And I was entertained. This is a good quality film that draws you in to the story. I don't know much about the real issues involved, but the story certainly inspires you to look into the situation a little deeper.

If it succeeds in raising awareness or calling greater attention to the problem, then it did its job. It is clear that many of the professional movie critics gave it a bad rating because they had a political axe to grind.

Fortunately, the movie-going public has learned to take the opinions of the professionals worth a grain of salt. This movie will attract good grass-roots crowds despite the lame reviews of the pros.
