Review of Won't Back Down (2014) by Thomas M — 24 Feb 2013
When will Hollywood let Viola Davis carry a movie without a Great White Savior to motivate her? Whatever this movie's political motivations, it has at least a dozen aspirations to move the audience, of which only half aren't forced into the movie for a quick sentimental grab.
There are several appeals to encourage teaching "for the children" and "without fear," but the details on how to do this and why people disagree are few and far between. This is "union-busting propaganda" insofar as a scatterbrained narrative can confuse any issue.
