Review of Won't Back Down (2012) by Adam J — 15 Apr 2013

This was nothing special, if not dull and sorta boring. I'm generally a huge Maggie Gyllenhaal fan, but I didn't even like her in this role. So plot basics...a single mom living in borderline poverty takes it upon herself with a teacher to create a new school after witnessing the way her daughter was being mistreated and not even learning to read at her current school.

The plot seemed to be interesting, but the movie was basically them doing paperwork in order to overcome challenges. The issue of our country's public education system is a huge one and this movie didn't even make the slightest impact on me.
