Review of Won't Back Down (2012) by Sandy K — 18 Apr 2013
It was panned by critics for being didactic, and I'm sure many in teachers' unions will hate it. But it tackles an important issue of how the bureaucracies designed to protect teachers sometimes do so at the expense of children.
.. and it's an uplifting story of how a couple of determined people refusing to take "no" for an answer can make a difference -- not just for their own children, but for a whole community.
Loved the last word of the film: hope.
