Review of Wonderstruck (2017) by Fong K — 15 Feb 2018
Simultaneously told and shot in delightsome visual styles reflective of the period eras, Todd Haynes' adaptation of Brian Selznick's novel about the parallel excursions of two deaf juvenile runaways looking for an absent parent and a home in New York in the '20s and '70s respectively is a wondrous exhibition of adventure magic and a salutation to the diorama in the Natural History Museum.
