Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Tor M — 23 Nov 2017
Starts off pretty good as we get Wonder Woman's story when we see her as an aging girl at an island filled with Amazons. Nothing too stupid so far.
Then a man enter the place, there's a war going on, WW joins in since she is down to kill Ares, the reason for all the hatred. It's a bit stupid now.
They team up in London. She is not blending in well, he is not making it too easy for her. Some bad guys are up with some gas that gives you powers when you snort it. Now it's pretty stupid.
The story mixing - a real war, mixed up with morphing Gods is not turning into something nice. The mess of a final is way out of hand and my last thoughts where: "oh, this is just too stupid".
All about Gal Gadot for me. She can't act at all, she just stands there and look pretty. She's really good at that, though. Cool to see Lisa Loven Kongsli among the cast and there's a few other casting treats here as well. The promising first 30 minutes or so was the big height here, the development was the big downer.
3.5 out of 10 clocks.
