Considering the nature of the character's history in her story, purpose, and design, a Wonder Woman origin story is admittedly a tall order for any actress or director to take on. Despite having to blend elements from one of the most campy, confusing and often suspiciously convenient superhero origins from DC, Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot offer a film that covers all their bases, generously adds to the DCEU scope, and has an acute attention to detail.
