Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Laeknir45 — 10 Jun 2017
I absolutely loved Wonder Woman. As a total fan of Lynda Carter, I was a little worried that no one could ever be right in the part, but Gal Godot is perfect. With this, you get a bit more of the flavor of the comics, but there's a strong nod to the 70s series as well.
I'd say this is the best of the new DC films, with a compelling Diana who is every bit the princess of Paradise Island and the demigoddess who fights for justice and love. Excellent supporting cast as well, with no wasted moments, and a terrific villain who is portrayed extremely well.
Chemistry between Godot and Pine is strong, and it was a nice touch to go back to WWI instead of WWII. I haven't enjoyed a movie this much in years, and can't wait for a follow-up.
