Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Soren W — 19 Jun 2017
A fantastical revitalization for the DCEU. Gal Gardot as a naive but powerful superhero Diana brings the levity and fun the series dearly needed and Patty Jenkins directs Gals limited acting experience to a significant effect.
Chris Pine acts his ass off and delivers an impressive performance. Great action, great world-building, in themyscira and the WWI settings, and probably the best score in any DCEU movie so far make for a wonderful experience.
The villain is kinda meh and the ragtag band that follow Gal and Chris are too 1-dimensional, but that didn't bother me much.
