If I were only rating this against other superhero movies, I would give it 5 stars easily. Unfortunately in the greater scheme of things it is still a superhero movie: formulaic, slow, patronizing and predictable.
On the other hand it actually ended, a concept which seems to elude most films targeted at the same demographic.
