Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by A.a. K — 11 Feb 2018
Pros: I left the theater feeling like a badass. Is this how guys feel all the time?
Cons: While Diana's coolness reaches atmospheric heights, I can't help but feel that this is any other war movie, but with a female heroine.
Gal Gadot and Chris Pine really carry this film as they manage to pull off cool-but-flimsy costumes and bad dialogue. Where this film staggered was in the unending action, which left less room for character development than this piece really needed.
While enjoyable, I don't feel that this "ultimate feminist" movie deserves (or for movie-goers, "believes") the title.
Maybe I was expecting too much, but still disappointing.
