Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Chase S — 09 Jun 2017
Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot is simply a wonderful superhero craft that excels in raw power while delivering an origin story that the DCEU despertly needed. After their last 2 movies flopped Wonder Woman came in to save the day just like she did in Superman v Batman.
Gal's portrayel of Wonder Woman showed us a hero who is strong, determined and innocent all at the same time. What I loved most about this movie was that I was able to enjoy a favortie hero of mine in a compelling story that did not shove a political agenda down my throat even though I was expecting as much when I walked into the theater.
I thank and applaud Patty Jenkins for this small reprieve. As with anything, this movie certinly has its flaws, namely the stolen plot in the final act and an atagonist who failed to have a purpose. This negatives do not hinder the movie thanks to the simple yet explosive story and acting from Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.
