Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Jessica%20 F — 10 Jun 2017
The acting was incredible and the fight scenes were amazing! The dialogue had a wonderful balance between humor, seriousness, the hero monologues, and righteous anger. It was heavy on exposition and you could tell the goal is to set up a franchise.
I wished Diana had more overall lines and less questions, but clearly she was in the role of goddess/observer determining whether mankind was worth saving. The supporting male characters were very much in the role of support.
You could tell there were conscious choices to have Wonder Woman take point in a male/soldier dominated world. Clear references to her battle/fight expertise and following her lead. Looking forward to seeing what they do with Wonder Woman in modern settings.
