I forgot I had this listed here. I saw it in the theater. Then I got the Blu-Ray and watched it over and over again for about a week, just like I did when I was a kid with the Ghostbusters cassettes. I can't tell you enough how much I love this film. You know, DC has been making some truly godawful movies, and I told a group of friends that even a broken clock is right twice a day. This is going to be a hit. DC was due for a good one.

As you get into the movie, even though Zack Snyder's not directing, he is producing and you can see that this is very much a Snyder animal. It had a marvelous script that obviously took a great deal of influence from Joss Whedon's script for his proposed Wonder Woman movie. People complain about the slow motion, but there's actually less than a minute of slow motion in this movie (Yeah, I actually sat down and noted the slow-motion scenes and how long they were. I put them at a bit under one minute total. In fact, there's a video on Youtube that strings them all together and slows them down even more! The video claims that they're slowed by 900 percent. It's 1:53.). It's simply spread out so that it seems like there's more, and every battle sequence has a few seconds of slo-mo.

You can tell that the actors care about the roles. Gal Gadot is wonderful and a joy to watch. For those who whine about her size and compare her to Lynda Carter, I hate to break it you; Gal is an inch taller and five pounds heavier. She's also a former Israeli military combat specialist. Your tears are delicious, by the way.

People complain about the third act. I'll admit, there are some wasted opportunities. I forgive it because it is a superhero movie and there's no way Hollywood would ever let it end without a big boss fight. As for bad CGI, I didn't notice. Probably because I don't care. That might have a teensy bit to do with it. Is it overrated? No. People only say that because they want to shame people that like it.

All in all, it's a travesty and offensive that The Last Jedi, with its forced, by the numbers, female diversity beat this movie (or any movie), with it's real, powerful, pro-woman message in the box office. Bested by Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-man? Sure! Those were fantastic, too, but The Last Jedi? No, just no.

See this movie before you die! If you don't like it, fine! But give it a chance. It's an amazing movie, and it at least deserves a chance.
