Making a film with a female protagonist doesn't automatically make it relatable to a female audience. I'm a male and even with that going against me I still can't call this film anything but cringe-worthy. Wonder Woman is no wonder. She is simple, awkward, and seemingly her only purpose is to bounce sexual tension off of a male supporting actor. She criticizes french fashion while wearing a corset, oblivious to the fact that she most definitely is already wearing this form of "ineffective armor.".

The only time I thought the movie WAS going to have some decent writing was toward the end. We are lead to believe that wonder woman is about to learn a valuable lesson. That lesson being that human beings behave based on their own will and are capable of both good and evil. We can't just blame our actions on Hades. Nevermind. It was Hades all along. All people are good all the time unless a god/supervillain is responsible for their actions. Nevermind the paradox of who is controlling Hades' actions. Ok so Hades is the villain here. So lets throw all artistry to the side and cap off this horrible movie with a shallow special effects showdown. Biggest dumb light wins. Surprise, it's not Hades. All in all it's a mildly offensive bore that follows the expected formula.
