Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Adele P — 04 Jun 2017
I was surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did. I've been a Wonder Woman fan since the early 70s (pre-Lynda Carter) and I grew up with the old canon. However, I thought that the storyline was great and the movie was visually appealing.
Setting the movie in WW I instead of 2 turned out to be a good move. It was a ground war and Diana's reaction to the carnage that is shown drives home the point that war is beyond hell.
The cast interacted well together and I thought that Lilly Aspell played a delightfully defiant and plucky young Diana.
