Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Twall3 — 18 Jun 2017
I would agree with other reviews - best DC movie since Christopher Reeve's Superman. WW didn't have as much personality as Reeve's character, but similar innocence and selfless bravery. A really beautiful movie.
Without spoiling anything, there's a scene where WW draws the gunfire to herself and I'm not sure why, but I had tears streaming down my face! It was just so brave and selfless (there was probably a powerful score at that moment too).
My one complaint was the ending. A little too much on a couple levels, but not enough to change my high opinion of the movie. Would seem wise for future DC movies to bring key decision makers from this film onboard to advise so as to hopefully avoid the trend of emotionally dead films DC has been making.
