Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Jacob P — 16 Jul 2017
The DCEU have been suffering for trying to catch up with the MCU, they are cramming way to many characters and story elements into their movies which end up hurting the final product. Finally, WW is isolated from the dark toned movies that are controlled by Snyder, and it shows, and it benefits! A warm, fun and exiting movie filled with action humor, and brilliant acting! Gadot is only as beautiful as her acting goes.
This movie is a blast from start to finish that is being carried by the Chemistry between Pine and Gadot and Jenkins incredible directing. The movie though suffers from the usual big CGI ending, this time though, you care about the heroes and you are guaranteed to be moved in the end.
The villain is just a plot point to tell a great story about heroism, belief, bravery and a story about ordinary people doing unordinary things. The God elements of WW will play well going into JL, this movie introduced us to a perfect casted WW so well that we already care and feel for her.
The DCEU can be saved by this film, and thats why it's so great! A One-Of-A-Kind summerblockbuster-movie.
