Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Patricia W — 22 Aug 2017
Wonder Woman is one of the best films to come from DC in the last few years and although Gal Gadot holds her own as one of the few female super heroes to have been given their own movie it's not without it's flaws.
The combat is frustratingly weighed down with extended slow motion shots every two seconds it seems, Lucy Davis' character 'Etta' is woefully underused as a comedic side kick and the third act falls into a superhero trait that I truly loathe where CG takes over as two actors gesture at each other from afar.
Although somewhat of a shaky start, I look forward to seeing more of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman as she has restored some of my faith in DC movies.
