Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Steve N — 11 Aug 2017

Gal Gadot is gorgeous and makes a fantastic Wonder Woman (lack of significant bulk and muscle tone I'd expect from Amazons aside); charming in the role and generally fantastic acting across the board, with some simply ADORABLE scenes (I loved the wardrobe selection and assessment of the shield's appropriateness).

Some outstanding action sequences. My only small gripe would be with some of the effects employed in a battle scene near the end.

I didn't enjoy the film as much as I expected to based on the early reviews and hype, but it definitely has its charms and is certainly a boon to the DC cinematic universe.
