Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Abel T — 17 Jul 2017

At first, I wasn't expecting much, considering the DCEU track record. With all the hype WW was gushing, I figured I'd give it a shot.

It was ok. Probably the best in the DCEU.

I really enjoyed the first act which takes place in Themyscira, but as soon as the setting gets to London, the movie just slows down to a crawl. there are some fun and interesting beats though. The secretary was actually a great addition and Gadot's and Pines' chemistry is a joy to watch.

The action is done well, but it doesn't have much weight or sense of finality, specially the big reveal at the end.

So yeah, an ok comic book movie. I may watch it again, but I won't go out of my way for it.
