Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Byungo S — 27 Jul 2017
Although Gadot's strong performance is the centerpiece of the film, everything else around her falls short; The most compelling characters go by the wayside, in favor of a cliche love interest and a ragtag crew of uninteresting, undeveloped stereotypes.
The main villain is hardly threatening, the fight scenes are shockingly fake-looking, and the brutality, horror, and historical significance of World War I are completely minimized. I suppose lackluster efforts such as this are already par for the course when it comes to DC adaptations involving Snyder.
