Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Tim C — 27 Mar 2018
Am not a huge fan of superhero films as they all seem to follow the same thing-process of discovery about yourself, bit of humour, action set piece, get a Macguffin for the plot, action, humour, massive action scene at the end, mcguffin saved, set up next film in the credits.
If there weren't so many of these films around at the moment then Wonder Woman would get a higher rating because as superhero movies go I suppose it's pretty good. The thing that elevates it for me is the interlinking of actual events (ww1 in this case) in human history with the mythology of the superhero.
Rather than other universes that are just completely made up (Thor etc). A good film to watch on a plane:).
