Review of Wonder Woman (2017) by Eve M — 04 Jul 2017
Entertaining, funny and also heartbreaking. It makes a point and differentiates itself from other superhero movies by adding a more human side to the genre, something we don't get too often on the big screen.
Probably the best DC movie from the past years.
It is visually attractive, with beautiful landscapes and settings. Gal Gadot, alongside her fellow actresses, do a great job at transporting you into the world of "Wonder Woman" and trick you into caring for the deadly and beautiful protagonist. Chris Pine, along with his small rogue group, contribute with small laughs and a great support, doing a great job at complementing Gal Gadot's character while also bringing a more emotional side to the movie, Chris Pine especially.
However, the plot requires more work, the story is too on the face about its message, although it could arguably be what is needed, even if it doesn't work for me.
